During the 2010 Waldwick Fire Department Installation Dinner, two individuals were presented with special awards. Ex-Chief Franklin Jaegge was presented with a special Chief's shield by Chief Walt Riker. Frank who served two terms as Chief of Department has somewhat "retired" from fighting fires, but not in his service and dedication. Frank serves as the President of the Waldwick Fire Department Exempt Association and also serves with the State Exempt Association. We thank Frank for all his time and service, both in the past and for many years to come.
Jordan Battisti, our grant writer for the Borough of Waldwick has assisted us many times over the years. Last year she was successful in obtaining a grant for Chief Riker to purchase a laptop for his command vehicle to assist in preplanning of an incident. Jordan has been a good friend to the WFD and was present with a plaque by President Giordano.
