FD Activities for the Week of February 1
This week, Rescue 1 was sent out for repairs to its onboard generator, during its absence Wyckoff FD Rescue 242 will be covering all calls where the Rescue is needed.

Thursday the 4th had us responding to an AFA from a business on Franklin Turnpike.  Units arrived to find that the alarm was set off accidentally by an employee on the premise.  At 21:11 the Department responded to a CO alarm in Tamaron.  Wyckoff Rescue 242, Engines 1 & 2 responded.  Units found levels of CO present and WALVAC was dispatched to evaluate the resident of the home.  The Department also conducted its monthly business meeting on this date.


Friday brought a mutual aid request from the Midland Park FD for a Two Out engine.  MPFD was on scene of a chimney fire on Busteed Drive.  Engine 632 responded and was in service approximately 45 minutes.

 Saturday the FD responded to a two family home on Waldwick Avenue for a report of a smell of something burning within the home.  Engines 1&2, Wyckoff 242 responded.  Units traced the source to a hard wired smoke detector.  The unit was disconnected.
